Homeschooling to teach conservative principles and avoid liberal claptrap
Here's what my boo read yesterday evening:
I love it. Nothing about feelings. The crab, engaged in honest labor, free of unnecessary government entanglement, betters his situation through his own efforts. Material gain was obtained through legal application of deadly force. The crab enjoyed the fruits of his labor, free of burdensome taxation or misplaced guilt brought on by the knowledge of a less-fortunate crab on the other side of the stream. No indication that the crab is gay (and we don't care about the sexual orientation of the shrimp). The lesson was not delayed a day so the student could celebrate Mexican Independence Day. We did not celebrate the birthdays of Étienne Pasquier and Georges Marchais, nor supply grief counseling over the anniversary of deaths of Maurice Rouvier or Émile Faguet. (Although due to an oversight on my part, the anniversary of the death of Robert the Bruce, King of Scotland, passed without comment. But we're still covering ancient history, so that tidbit is better presented in a year or two anyway.)
The crab shrank back in the crack on the rock.
The shrimp swam in the crack.
Smack!
The crab did dash with his shrimp snack.
Yum!
