Travel

Say what you will about New Mexico, this was refreshing to see. This is the McD's in Taos, NM.

Bacationing Boo Bears Blanket to Bunk! Cable TV, swimming, and breakfast in soft beds is what you'd expect to find on a happy family Christmas road trip.

We got caught in the blizzard heading down I-70 towards Denver. We made it to Georgetown, where they converted their community center into an emergency shelter. Very friendly people. People drive past Georgetown every time they take I-70 - I think we'll stop there for gas from now on.

Here we are, preparing to bunk down on the old army cots in a room with 20 other stranded travellers:

Take note, Hubbies: Some day, your wife may suggest extending a hotel stay to to ride out a storm. Consider carefully what fate you have earned, should she end up in a place like this, within 10 feet of one of the three loud snorers.

Comments:
I was surprised by that display in Taos. Not only because it was in a McDonalds but it was in Taos.

The problem with such a shelter would be my snoring. I truly would feel sorry for others but there's not much I can do about it :).
